5 Top Uses For Our Hero Product: Diaper Balm

There is a reason Zoe Organics Diaper Balm is our best seller and gets so many rave reviews from our customers. It is one of the very first products Heather formulated for her boys and launched with our baby collection in 2010, and the process and integrity of the ingredients has remained untouched even as batches have scaled. Did you know we make our own herbal infusion for this product in-house, using dried herbs and flowers known for their calming restorative properties? It isn’t just a quick, mass-produced product and we know you can tell the difference!

One of our values when creating a product is its ability to multitask. Although we name our products by their most intended use, don’t be limited by that. Our goal is to eliminate many of the redundant personal care products in your home by offering really effective, concentrated, multi-purpose formulas that not only can take the place of some of the other products (good-bye clutter and waste) but can be used by everyone in your family!

Here are the top 5 uses for Zoe Organics Diaper Balm:

  1. Prevention - my pediatrician taught me with my newborn that the best way to prevent a diaper rash is to proactively protect that delicate skin from moisture and bacteria. Please don’t wait until a bad rash develops to use our Diaper Balm. Apply a thin layer with each diaper change. This also helps with clean up. Removing solids from the diaper area is easier and doesn’t stick to the skin and cause irritation.
  2. If a rash develops (it happens to all of us), apply Diaper Balm to clean dry skin as often as needed. It’s important to keep skin clean and allow the skin to dry out as often as possible.
  3. Have older kids? Great! Diaper Balm works like a charm with minor cuts, scrapes and burns. Remember that herbal infusion we told you about? Calendula, chamomile, lavender and plantain leaf are all soothing and anti-inflammatory. Tea tree oil has antibacterial, antiviral and antiseptic properties. By the way, parents get their share of cuts, scrapes and burns too - not just for kids!
  4. Dry skin and eczema are common in all ages and these same protective properties of the oils, butters and beeswax create a really nice barrier from the elements and help to soften and soothe compromised skin. This formula never stings, and is gentle enough for all skin types
  5. Not all products are recommended for lips and faces - especially for kids who may ingest small amounts. Our Diaper Balm is not only safe, but really effective when it comes to dry, chapped skin around the lips, mouth and chin. This is particularly common during teething, from drooling, or habitually licking lips and around the mouth. Apply a thin layer of Diaper Balm as needed - especially before bedtime. You may see best results in the morning after it has been allowed to sit on the skin, undisturbed.
